Eastbourne rovers vet team have been busy with 2 league meetings already.
The first was at Eastbourne and with good conditions athletes produced some fine performances.
The most outstanding was Cara Maker in the 100m knocking a massive off her personal best to clock 13.1 secs in the 100m.
Anna Chaplin made her debut in the 1500m with 6m12.4 and Brian Brett had an impressive win in his 1500m.
Seasons best came from Brian Slaughter, Ian Turner, Alan Rolfe, Pete Morgan and Liz Brandon. The great finale of the evening came from Cara who took the last leg baton in last position and soared through the field to catch the other teams on the line.
Cara has also leapt 5m06 this year in the Long jump. As a junior it is expected that there will be gradual improvementeach season with hard training. However at V40 cara has proved to be a worthy recipient of Eastbournes 'Most Improved Female Athlete' as she continues to better her performances she did when she was in her 20's.
The second match in Lewes saw Brian Brett clock a personal best in the 3000m in 9m01.5 and Brian Slaughter was first in the V60 200m.
It as also good to see Grant Stirling back in action.
