The SAL matches got off to a good start in Brighton.
A small quality team kept the Eastbourne vest in the limelight.
Team manager Stuart Pelling led by example with himself and wife sian covering many events between them to gain valuable points for th eteam - as well as babysitting duties. Sian produced a PB in the 3000m in 11m32.5.
Emma Cooper was also in top form as she ran a personal best in the 800m in 2m53.1.
Grant Stirling was also thrilled with his best pole vault of 2m80.
Eleanor Strevens competing against seniors for the first time was not phased and ran a personal best in the 15oom in 4m40.1 and followed this with a leap of 1m40 in the high jump.
The climax of the afternoon was the 4x400m relay when Eleanor ran a blistering 57 secs on the last lap to pull the team into second place.
Well done all those who competed and hopefully more will venture out for the next meet on 11th july.
