On 20th May two club members took advantage of the well-staged Bromley open meeting at the weekend.
Feeding off of her pb at the Sussex Festival of Athletics last weekend Molly Swingler in only her second race over the 400M hurdles she took a half a second off her time with 66.64 in a very competitive race.
Such was this time that she has now broken the club record. As she develops further over this new event for her, we expect to see this time improve.
Mean while Brian Slaughter had a busy time with the decathlete trying some more events in his 2021 season as he will build towards British Masters Championship events. He recorded a 2.60 pole vault in tricky conditions for his season opener and enjoyed the unusual 200M hurdles in a time of 32.87. An hour later he was seen over the 300M version in 51.33.
Well done guys!!
